The new widget allows users to view the main device's battery percentage, charging status, and estimated remaining time directly on the lock screen without needing to unlock the system.
A key feature is the integration of connected peripherals. The widget can monitor and display battery levels for various Bluetooth accessories, including wireless mice, keyboards, digital pens, and Bluetooth headphones.
Designed with the Fluent design language, the widget supports adaptive dark and light modes and integrates with the lock screen's frosted glass effect. In the Widgets Board, users can choose between a simple battery bar or a detailed list of multiple peripherals.
The feature is currently in a hidden development stage within the Windows Insider preview channels. It may be released to the general public in future Windows 11 feature experience packs or major annual updates.
