US President Donald Trump and leaders of major technology companies have signed a voluntary agreement titled Joint Commitment on Frontier Responsibilities. The document focuses on managing risks associated with advanced AI systems and ensuring that models operate as intended.

The accord mandates that companies implement internal controls, conduct independent external audits, and establish board-level oversight. These measures are designed to prevent AI models from accessing or hacking technical systems in unauthorized ways.

The agreement was signed at the White House by Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, OpenAI President Greg Brockman, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, and xAI CEO Elon Musk.

During the meeting, participants discussed AI safety, industry growth, and data center development. President Trump explicitly rejected the possibility of a joint venture between the US and China for AI development.

On the same day, President Trump signed an executive order requiring the executive branch to use the term Super Intelligence instead of Artificial Intelligence. The administration stated that this new terminology better reflects the capabilities of current technologies.
