The White House is hosting an AI summit on Tuesday featuring President Donald Trump and House Speaker Mike Johnson. The administration intends to maintain a non-interventionist approach, encouraging the industry to establish its own safety protocols rather than imposing direct government regulations.

The guest list includes 31 confirmed participants, comprising high-ranking government officials and technology industry leaders. Notable attendees from the executive branch include Vice President JD Vance, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, alongside NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman.

Corporate representation features executives such as Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, AMD CEO Lisa Su, and Broadcom CEO Hock Tan. Other participants include Elon Musk, Palo Alto Networks CEO Nikesh Arora, and Micron Technology CEO Sanjay Mehrotra, as well as leaders from Palantir, ServiceNow, and Altimeter Capital.

While the meeting gathers major figures from the tech and political sectors, no specific regulatory details are expected to emerge from the event. OpenAI president Greg Brockman is confirmed to attend, while CEO Sam Altman is scheduled to participate in a separate corporate annual conference in San Francisco.
