A recent poll conducted by Bitwise Asset Management in September 2026 surveyed approximately 400 wealth managers. The results indicate that 67% of these professionals currently hold no cryptocurrency in their client portfolios. Despite this, 60% of the surveyed managers expressed intentions to incorporate digital assets into their investment strategies within the next 12 months.
Data from the 2026 Bitwise/VettaFi Benchmark Survey shows a growth in adoption, with 32% of financial advisors allocating to crypto in 2025, compared to 22% in 2024. This represents a year-over-year increase of approximately 45%. Furthermore, the number of advisors with the technical capability to purchase crypto for clients rose from 35% in 2024 to 42% in 2025.
During the event, XRP emerged as the asset generating the highest level of interest among participants. Discussions also frequently centered on Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana, as well as topics such as stablecoins and tokenization. Additionally, 60% of the respondents shared the expectation that cryptocurrency prices will increase by the end of 2026.
The report notes that the poll was informal and conducted among attendees of a Bitwise event, which may introduce self-selection bias compared to the broader wealth management industry. However, the findings highlight a shifting competitive landscape where managers who have already integrated crypto assets are establishing early track records with their clients.
