Wang Ziru, the head of the review agency ZEALER, publicly expressed a desire to reconcile with Luo Yonghao during the Weibo V Influence Conference. He stated that he would no longer engage in public disputes with the entrepreneur.
The conflict between the two figures dates back to August 2014, following a review of the Smartisan T1 smartphone by ZEALER. Wang Ziru's video highlighted issues such as screen fragility, thermal design flaws, and inconsistent quality control.
Luo Yonghao challenged these findings, claiming the review contained factual errors and biased intent. The subsequent live-streamed debate resulted in Luo Yonghao refuting the claims, which left Wang Ziru in a defensive position.
Following the confrontation, Wang Ziru issued a formal apology on September 1, 2014. He acknowledged technical inaccuracies in the review, admitted to imprecise filming practices, and apologized to his team and supporters.
