Wally, a dental care startup, has secured $25 million in a Series A funding round led by Maveron, with participation from Bling Capital and angel investors including Jack Abraham. This investment brings the company's total funding to $28.1 million. The capital will support the company's goal to scale from its current 15 locations to 100 by the end of 2027.

The company operates on a subscription model, charging members $249 per year for unlimited cleanings, exams, diagnostics, and whitening, while bypassing traditional dental insurance. Wally currently serves over 50,000 members across New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Illinois. Members visit an average of three times per year and have rated the service 4.9 stars.

Wally utilizes proprietary AI to manage scheduling and operations while guiding clinicians through appointments. The clinics are located within co-working spaces, which allows for rapid deployment. The dental procedures employ Swiss AIRFLOW technology, which the company states reduces visit times by approximately half compared to traditional metal scraping methods.

In the next six months, the company plans to expand into new metropolitan areas, including Washington DC, Atlanta, Austin, and Miami. The startup aims to address the US dental market, which is valued at nearly $200 billion, by focusing on a proactive, transparent, and consumer-friendly approach to oral healthcare.
