Volkswagen Anhui is rapidly expanding its sales network, with the number of outlets doubling annually. CEO Liu Zhanshu stated that the company aims to reach at least 300 locations by next year. The strategy focuses on increasing coverage in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities, which are the primary markets for the brand's B-segment electric SUVs and sedans.

The company employs a hybrid sales model combining direct-to-consumer stores in core cities with an agency network. Unlike traditional dealership models, this approach avoids inventory pressure, ensuring profitability for partners on every vehicle sold. This structure has attracted growing interest from potential investors as vehicle deliveries continue to scale.

Volkswagen Anhui is also collaborating with FAW-Volkswagen through a shop-in-shop arrangement. As of the first half of the year, approximately 10 such locations were operational. This model allows shared investors to sell ID. Unyx models, including the 08 and 09, within existing FAW-Volkswagen dealerships. The initiative follows a strategic memorandum signed in April 2026.

The brand, often referred to as 'Gold Badge Volkswagen' due to its distinct emblem, has seen consistent growth in its physical footprint. According to company data, the network expanded to 120 locations in 2025 and is projected to exceed 200 outlets by the end of 2026. Liu Zhanshu assumed the role of CEO on July 1, 2026, succeeding Stefan Timmermann.
