VibeLing, an application for vocabulary expansion, has introduced a new guided learning path consisting of short, structured lessons. This feature is currently available only for English and includes hundreds of lessons categorized by topics such as career, daily communication, and introductions.

The decision to implement a linear learning path followed an analysis of the user base, which revealed that approximately 70% of users are beginners at the A1 level. These users often struggled with the app's original open-ended design, which required them to independently source content and decide what to study next.

The new lessons function as an entry point for vocabulary building. At the end of each lesson, users can add specific words and phrases to their personal dictionary. These words are then integrated into the app's existing spaced repetition system, allowing users to practice them over time.

The developer emphasized that this update does not replace the app's original functionality. Advanced users who prefer to source their own vocabulary from movies, books, or articles can continue to use the search, recommendations, and manual dictionary entry tools without engaging with the new lesson path.

The design change was inspired by Duolingo's transition in November 2022, when the platform replaced its skill tree with a single linear path. This shift was intended to provide users with a clear sequence of study, reducing the cognitive load associated with planning one's own curriculum.
