Vesta, a San Francisco-based startup, secured $30 million in a funding round led by Conversion Capital. The company develops a loan origination system that integrates AI agents to automate document review and underwriting processes for mortgage lenders.
Founded in 2020 by CEO Mike Yu and CTO Devon Yang, the firm aims to replace manual workflows with automated systems. According to company data, lenders utilizing the platform saw their origination costs decrease by up to 25 percent in 2026.
The software operates on a human-in-the-loop model, where AI handles routine tasks while human staff manage exceptions. This design allows lenders to maintain oversight while automating the processing of loan applications from initial submission to final funding.
The company has established partnerships with industry players such as Pennymac, Verus Mortgage Capital, and New American Funding. Additionally, Vesta offers integrations with platforms including nCino, Blend, and Argyle to facilitate adoption for new clients.
