Veeam Software Group GmbH has launched Veeam Intelligent ResOps, a new platform designed to merge data security and resilience. The tool aims to address risks posed by autonomous AI agents that can modify data and billing records. The first generally available workload for the platform is Microsoft 365.

The platform utilizes the DataAI Command Graph, technology acquired from Securiti AI, to map connections between data, users, permissions, and agents. It allows organizations to identify sensitive data, flag redundant or obsolete information, and reverse specific changes made by AI agents on a file-by-file basis.

According to the Veeam Data Trust & Resilience Report 2026, 88% of organizations use or pilot AI agents, while 82% report having unknown agents in their environments. Only 7% of surveyed organizations are considered AI-ready.

Veeam has scheduled private previews for the Veeam Data Platform and Okta. Additional previews for GitHub, Azure DevOps, and Google IAM are planned for the fourth quarter of 2026. Early testing revealed that some environments contained unknown agents actively modifying data.
