The CLARITY Act, a bill focused on crypto market structure, may see a renewed push in the US Senate during the post-election lame-duck session. This follows a failed cloture vote on Tuesday, where the legislation did not secure the 60 votes necessary to proceed.

Adrian Wall, managing director of the Digital Sovereignty Alliance, stated that he has discussed the potential for a second attempt directly with senators from both parties. Wall noted that while there is interest in advancing the bill before the current Congress concludes, the process remains complex and uncertain.

Wall characterized the recent failed vote as a significant setback for the initiative. If the efforts during the lame-duck session do not succeed, the next Congress will have the opportunity to resume work on developing a regulatory framework for digital assets.
