President Donald Trump announced the establishment of the Super Intelligence Force (SIF) to coordinate US government AI initiatives and maintain national leadership in the sector. The announcement followed a meeting between the President and executives from major technology firms.

The new agency will collaborate with tech companies, consumer groups, public organizations, and critical infrastructure operators. Previously, representatives from OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta, Google, and Nvidia committed to voluntary safety measures, including internal controls and external system audits.

The SIF will be led by Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton. The leadership team also includes Federal Trade Commission head Andrew Ferguson, Pentagon CTO Emil Michael, and Office of Personnel Management Director Scott Kupor.

The administration has also mandated that federal agencies replace the term artificial intelligence with super intelligence in official communications.
