Upbit, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in South Korea, reported a weekly trading volume of ₩8.35 trillion for the period ending October 18, 2026. This figure represents a 15.5% decline compared to the previous week.

Despite the overall drop in activity, XRP emerged as the most traded asset on the platform, surpassing both Bitcoin and USDT. The latter maintained the third position in the trading volume rankings.

Daily trading volumes on the exchange fluctuated between $340 million and over $1.2 billion during mid-October 2026. This trend aligns with a broader market contraction, as major South Korean platforms previously experienced a 19.56% decline in volume.

Market analysts note that Upbit's trading activity often correlates with fluctuations in domestic stock markets. The current reduction in volume suggests a wider pullback across the sector rather than platform-specific issues.
