Uniserve Communications is developing a new data center, VAN-2, in Vancouver. The facility spans approximately 929 square meters and will support corporate computing, cloud services, colocation, and artificial intelligence workloads.
The company plans to launch the site in the fourth quarter of 2026 with an initial capacity of 1 MW, which can be expanded by an additional 1 MW. The facility will support a power density of up to 30 kW per server rack.
BC Hydro has committed to upgrading the distribution infrastructure by 2028 to provide up to 3 MW of power. This exceeds the initial capacity and allows for future growth. Uniserve also previously announced plans to increase the capacity of its existing VAN-1 facility to 2 MW.
Uniserve has secured a five-year contract with a corporate client worth $3.15 million. The agreement covers computing services using two servers equipped with Nvidia B300 accelerators. The equipment delivery and service launch are expected by the end of 2026.
