Ukrainian military officials report that Starlink communication systems continue to experience speed restrictions. These limitations, which have been in place since October 13, cause signal loss when drones exceed speeds of 160 kilometers per hour, hindering combat operations.
Serhii Beskrestnov, an advisor to the Ukrainian president, stated that there are no signs of the restrictions being lifted. While some devices may occasionally operate above the speed threshold, officials attribute this to SpaceX algorithms rather than a policy change.
The situation persists despite claims from Donald Trump that Starlink services have been restored. Trump declined to confirm whether he intervened personally, while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy maintains that the restrictions were intentionally implemented against Ukraine.
Ukrainian forces rely on Starlink terminals for controlling attack drones and interceptors, including high-speed models reaching 500 kilometers per hour. The military continues to report connectivity issues during missions, even as diplomatic discussions regarding the conflict remain ongoing.
