The UK and Germany have launched an industrial tech corridor to foster collaboration in AI and deeptech. This initiative, part of the Kensington Treaty, aims to connect industry leaders and innovators to boost productivity and investment across both nations.

Several major companies are already participating. Munich-based MicroAGI plans to expand in London, adding 180 high-paid roles. Proxima Fusion is scaling its operations in Culham, with plans to potentially quadruple its local workforce by 2028.

The project receives support from German corporations including Allianz, Bosch, RWE, and Siemens. Additionally, the UK-based firm Quantexa will establish a dedicated sovereign unit in Germany to facilitate technology deployment.

Both countries have allocated €20 million to support joint research in quantum technologies. This funding aligns with the UK's broader goal of developing large-scale quantum computers by the early 2030s.

Germany currently serves as the UK's second-largest trading partner, contributing €183 billion to the British economy. The new corridor is designed to serve as a launchpad for AI companies seeking international scale.
