The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) has reached preliminary agreements with two Indian carriers for the potential supply of 85 Il-114-300 regional turboprop aircraft. The documents were signed during the INNOPROM exhibition in India, with the company aiming to finalize firm contracts by the end of the year.
Pinnacle Air has signed a letter of intent for 50 aircraft, while Sleek Aviation has entered into a memorandum of understanding for 35 units. The agreement with Sleek Aviation also includes plans to establish a training center equipped with a full-flight simulator for personnel.
UAC leadership, led by Vadim Badekha, expressed readiness to support the aircraft through local maintenance and training services. The company is also considering the potential for future localized production of the Il-114-300 within India to support regional connectivity.
The aircraft is intended for use in India's national UDAN program, which focuses on expanding regional air travel and airport infrastructure. Beyond passenger transport, the Il-114-300 is marketed for cargo, mail delivery, and specialized medical or search-and-rescue operations.
The Il-114-300 features Russian-made systems and TV7-117ST-01 engines. The current agreements follow a presentation of the aircraft at the Wings of India exhibition, which prompted formal interest from local operators.
