Donald Trump has mandated that US federal agencies replace the term Artificial Intelligence with Super Intelligence. This directive was formalized through an executive order signed on September 29, following public mentions of the term on Truth Social on September 19 and at the UN on September 22.

Data shows a surge in registrations for .si domains, which are associated with Slovenia, the birthplace of Melania Trump. Registrations rose from fewer than 2,000 in August to approximately 44,000 in September. Investor Adam Cochran claims that activity began as early as June, with AI-related domains selling for tens of thousands of dollars.

Cochran estimates that around 12,000 domains related to AI or MAGA were registered or traded before the rebranding announcement. While some allege this constitutes an enrichment scheme, no public records link these purchases to Trump or his inner circle. Netcraft suggests the trend is driven by speculation, noting that .si domains cost $11 annually compared to $180 for .ai domains.

Slovenia and the US signed an AI partnership agreement on September 24, covering semiconductors, critical minerals, and supply chains, though the document does not mention domain names. Currently, there is no evidence connecting the domain registration boom to the Trump family, and calls have been made for a congressional investigation into the buyers.
