Donald Trump shared an AI-generated image on Truth Social depicting himself day trading Intel stock. The post claims he earned hundreds of billions of dollars, showing the stock price rising from $20 to $95. This is the second time the former president has used this specific image style to highlight Intel stock performance.
Intel shares recently reached $95.89, nearly quadrupling from their 52-week low of $24.05. In September, a similar post appeared when Intel shares rose from $20 to $30, following the government's acquisition of a 9.9% stake in the company at $20.47 per share in August 2025.
A CNN investigation revealed that Trump acquired shares in 21 companies before posting positive messages about them on his social media platform. Ethics filings indicate that accounts linked to Trump established positions in Intel and Dell Technologies prior to his public endorsements. Dell stock has increased by more than 300% during the current year.
While federal officials are restricted from trading stocks, presidents currently face no such ban. Trump has not placed his assets in a blind trust, allowing him to monitor his investment portfolio. Senator Josh Hawley previously proposed legislation to prohibit stock trading for both the president and members of Congress, which Trump opposed.
