Treble Technologies, a developer of sound simulation and synthetic acoustic data, has secured $18 million in a Series A-2 funding round. The investment was led by Paladin Capital Group, with continued support from KOMPAS VC, Frumtak Ventures, and the European Innovation Council Fund. This latest injection of capital brings the company's total funding to €36 million.
The startup specializes in physics-based acoustic modeling, digital twins, and synthetic data generation. Its platform allows developers to simulate how sound behaves in various physical environments, including different rooms, materials, and ambient noise conditions. This technology is designed to assist in the development of audio-enabled systems, such as wearables, robots, and autonomous vehicles.
By utilizing Treble's platform, companies can generate labeled audio data and test product performance in virtual environments. According to the company, this approach significantly accelerates the development cycle, reducing the time needed for prototype testing and data collection from months to days. The platform helps developers improve the robustness of AI models before physical prototypes are built.
CEO and co-founder Finnur Pind noted that while AI models often perform well in laboratory settings, they frequently struggle with real-world acoustic complexities like reverberation and background noise. The new funding will be used to further develop the simulation platform and expand its reach across both consumer and enterprise sectors, with a specific focus on physical AI applications.
