At the Digital Solutions Forum, TransTeleCom experts addressed cybersecurity risks associated with artificial intelligence in the transport and logistics sector. The discussion focused on strategies to mitigate threats arising from both external and internal AI platforms.
Alexander Malyavkin, head of information security services at TransTeleCom, noted that AI is currently used for traffic analysis, route optimization, automated logistics, and predictive maintenance. However, these technologies introduce new vulnerabilities, including data leakage, poisoning of training datasets, and prompt injection attacks.
The company warned that internal AI systems can become targets for cybercriminals seeking to map corporate IT infrastructure and security measures. Malyavkin proposed a comprehensive defense strategy involving data encryption, network segmentation, the use of domestic platforms, and strict adherence to regulatory standards such as FSTEC orders.
The proposed security framework emphasizes a balance between innovation and protection. It includes organizational measures like employee training and the establishment of clear protocols for AI tool usage to prevent AI systems from becoming a liability for transport companies.
