Terran Orbital has appointed Margherita Cardi as the new Vice President of European Operations and Head of Strategic Programs. In this capacity, she will lead all operational functions for the company in Italy and report directly to CEO Peter Krauss.
Cardi joined Tyvak International in 2016 as its third employee. Throughout her tenure, she has held various leadership roles, including Vice President of Programs and Business Development, where she managed contracts with the European Space Agency and the Italian Space Agency.
Her notable projects include serving as the program manager for Milani, a CubeSat developed for the Hera planetary defense mission. Prior to her time at Tyvak International, she worked at Vitrociset S.p.A. on the Vega launch program and holds two master's degrees in space engineering.
