Tencent announced the shutdown of its Yuanqi platform, a service for creating and distributing AI agents. The company cited business adjustments as the reason for this decision. The platform, which launched in May 2024, will cease all public operations on November 9, 2026.

Starting October 29, 2026, users will no longer be able to create new agents or receive new API keys. Existing agents will remain functional until the final shutdown date. After November 9, 2026, all access to applications, data reading and writing, API calls, and the console will be disabled.

Tencent has provided a transition period for data backup. Users can export agent configurations, workflows, and conversation logs until January 9, 2027. After this date, all user data will be deleted, except for logs required by law.

The Yuanqi platform was designed as a no-code environment for building AI agents using prompts, plugins, and workflows. It allowed for distribution across Tencent ecosystems, including WeChat and QQ. Users are advised to complete their data migration before the final deadline.
