Tencent WorkBuddy has announced changes to the free access policy for its Hy4 preview AI model. The current free trial period will conclude on September 10, 2026, at 23:59, with new terms taking effect from September 11 through October 10.
New users and existing users who have not yet accessed the model will receive 14 days of daily free usage starting from their first conversation, provided they initiate it before October 10 at 23:59. Users who have already experienced the model will continue to receive free access during off-peak hours from 23:00 to 08:00.
The Hy4 preview model does not support multimodal tasks. When users request video or image generation, the system switches to appropriate multimodal models, which consume points according to standard billing rules. High demand may lead to queuing during peak times.
The development team recently optimized the Hy4 preview model to address issues with long reasoning and excessive self-verification in complex tasks. These updates, which reduce token consumption and task rounds, were fully deployed on September 7.
