The White House Accord on Super Intelligence was signed by the CEOs of five major tech companies: Jensen Huang, Sundar Pichai, Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, and Dario Amodei, along with OpenAI president Greg Brockman. The agreement establishes voluntary safety guidelines for developers of frontier AI models.

The accord outlines four key safety practices, including the implementation of internal controls to monitor model capabilities in areas like biology and cybersecurity. Companies are encouraged to establish dedicated safety teams, appoint external auditors to verify control effectiveness, and form independent board committees for oversight.

President Donald Trump announced plans to appoint an AI czar by the end of the week and is considering the creation of a 10-person AI safety committee. Additionally, a new executive order mandates that federal agencies refer to artificial intelligence as Super Intelligence in all official documentation.

Participating companies will hold regular meetings to define industry standards. Previous efforts in this space include a framework for AI safety audits released last year by AIUC Inc., which was developed in collaboration with various AI firms and over 250 executives from Fortune 500 companies.
