The Biological Computing Co. (TBC) has announced a partnership with Amazon Web Services to launch a text-to-video AI model. The product will be available via Amazon SageMaker AI and the AWS Marketplace, with early access registration currently open.
The startup claims its model runs five times faster and costs 80 percent less to operate than the base open-source model. These performance gains are achieved through a proprietary software layer called the Neural Dynamics Adapter, which adds less than 0.1 percent to the base model size.
The adapter is derived from measurements of cortical nerve cells grown on chips with 4,096 electrodes. TBC records how electrical signals spread and fade within these biological networks, then translates these patterns into mathematical modules that function on standard AI hardware.
TBC was founded by neurosurgeons Alex Ksendzovsky and Jon Pomeraniec and raised $25 million in February 2026. The company previously operated under the name Biological Black Box and intends to eventually develop world models where neurons compute alongside silicon.
Independent testing by Bluesky Compute in July indicated 4.4 times lower inference costs and over three times higher video coherence compared to the base model. TBC has not disclosed the specific base model used for its commercial offering or provided a controlled comparison against other digital optimization methods.
