SwissBorg has joined the Eurøpe Consortium as a founding member to promote the adoption of the EURØP stablecoin. The consortium, which also includes Schuman Financial, eToro, and LCX, focuses on building infrastructure for a regulated digital euro token that operates across multiple blockchains.
EURØP is issued by Schuman Financial as an electronic money token under the EU's MiCA regulation. The token is fully backed by euros, with an additional 2% reserve fund audited by KPMG and held at banks such as Société Générale. It currently runs on Avalanche, Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, and XRPL.
SwissBorg began trading EURØP in December 2025. In June 2026, the company migrated user accounts to the French entity BlockNodes SAS to comply with MiCA requirements. This transition affected users within the European Economic Area and the UK.
In July 2026, SwissBorg introduced a loyalty program for EURØP deposits, allowing users to earn rewards in BORG tokens without lock-up periods. Additionally, the platform is offering zero exchange fees for EURØP deposits until August 31, 2026, with the reward program running until August 2026.
