Swiss Bitcoin Pay, a non-custodial bitcoin payment processor headquartered in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, suspended its server operations on Monday. The company took this action following an unauthorized access to its internal systems.
The firm stated that user funds remain secure and all owed amounts will be returned. However, the breach potentially exposed customer email addresses, bitcoin addresses, IBANs, transaction histories, and hashed passwords.
The company is currently investigating the incident and working to secure its infrastructure. Swiss Bitcoin Pay provides services for businesses to accept bitcoin payments via on-chain transactions and the Lightning Network.
