The liquidity protocol Sunrise, developed on Solana by Wormhole Labs, has added 20 new tokenized stocks issued by Backpack Securities. These assets represent direct ownership of underlying securities, including dividend rights, and are backed on a 1:1 basis.
The partnership began in June 2026 with the listing of SpaceX equity. The SPCX token, launched on June 12, recorded $439 million in trading volume during its first week. By mid-July, the cumulative trading volume for tokenized stocks on Solana exceeded $734 million.
Total supply of tokenized equity on the Solana network reached $465 million by late August. The latest expansion includes companies such as Micron Technology, Moderna, and Nike, increasing the total number of available tickers to the low thirties.
Backpack Securities manages the custody and issuance of tokens, while Sunrise coordinates liquidity across decentralized exchanges. Users can redeem these tokens for traditional shares through Backpack Securities, providing an exit path from the blockchain ecosystem.
