Sui network announced three major developments at its Basecamp conference in Singapore. The initiatives focus on payment integration, AI verification systems, and network performance capabilities as the project looks toward 2027.
Samsung Wallet will integrate USDC transfers on the Sui network for 82 million Galaxy devices in the United States. This feature allows users to send digital dollars without network fees or the need to hold SUI tokens.
Mysten Labs and Google Cloud are collaborating on the Verifiable Agent Arbiter project. This system uses cryptographic proofs written to Walrus and Sui to verify that AI agents follow instructions and operate within their authorized boundaries.
During a live stress test, Sui demonstrated a performance of 40.6 million transactions per second. This result was achieved using programmable offchain tunnels that settle to the main blockchain, aiming to reduce costs for machine payments.
These developments aim to expand the network's utility beyond crypto traders. While the Samsung partnership targets mainstream consumer payments, the collaboration with Google Cloud is designed to support institutional adoption and compliance for enterprises using AI.
