Strive Inc., a Nasdaq-listed company co-founded by Vivek Ramaswamy, plans to purchase 500 Bitcoin this week. The acquisition will be financed through the sale of Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock, traded under the ticker SATA.
As of September 8, 2026, the firm held 24,531 BTC. The company accumulated this position over approximately one year, including 5,000 BTC obtained through a merger with Semler Scientific and subsequent weekly purchases.
The SATA preferred stock trades near a par value of $100 and offers a 13% annual dividend paid daily. As of early September 2026, the total outstanding value of these shares reached approximately $999 million, resulting in annual dividend obligations of roughly $130 million.
Unlike convertible debt used by other corporate buyers, the perpetual preferred stock has no maturity date, meaning the company is not required to repay the principal. Approximately 70% of the capital used for Bitcoin acquisitions has been sourced from these stock sales.
