Strategy halted its weekly Bitcoin acquisition streak that started in mid-September, opting instead to allocate $204.9 million toward repurchasing its STRC preferred stock. The company confirmed that no Bitcoin was purchased during the week ending October 25, and no shares were sold through its at-the-market offering program.

The firm currently holds 848,517 BTC, acquired for a total of $64.02 billion at an average price of $75,446 per coin. Its general-purpose USD cash reserves decreased from $447.3 million to $242.4 million following the buyback, while its separate USD reserve for dividends and debt interest remained stable at $4.83 billion.

The recent STRC buyback involved 2,068,459 shares. The company has $956.8 million remaining under its expanded $3 billion preferred stock repurchase program, up from a previous limit of $2 billion. Additionally, a separate program for repurchasing MSTR common stock retains $1 billion in available funds.

This shift in strategy coincides with potential exclusion from MSCI equity indexes. On October 15, MSCI finalized a rule to exclude non-operating companies with balance sheets dominated by a single asset from its Global Investable Market Indexes, effective November 30. The list of affected companies is scheduled for publication on November 11.
