Stellantis has updated the second-generation Jeep Compass for the 2027 model year in Brazil. The vehicle retains its design from the 2021 facelift, introducing only new 18-inch and 19-inch wheels, a Slash Gold exterior color, and the Longitude Night Eagle trim with darkened emblems.
The primary technical update is a 1.3-liter TurboFlex mild-hybrid powertrain, available in the Longitude Night Eagle and Series S trims. The system uses a belt-driven starter-generator to reduce fuel consumption by up to 11%, while maintaining an output of 176 hp.
The Sport and Longitude trims continue to use the non-electrified 1.3-liter TurboFlex engine with a six-speed automatic transmission. The flagship Blackhawk trim remains the only AWD option, featuring a 2.0-liter Hurricane TurboFlex engine with 272 hp and a nine-speed automatic gearbox.
Stellantis reportedly plans a significant overhaul for the South American Compass around 2028. Potential updates include a new design, mechanical improvements, and a possible range-extender powertrain utilizing technology from Chinese partner Leapmotor.
