The Stand With Crypto organization, established by Coinbase in 2023, has unveiled its list of preferred candidates for the upcoming US Congressional session. The group aims to promote regulatory clarity for the digital asset sector. Among the Senate candidates receiving support are Jon Husted in Ohio, Ashley Hinson in Iowa, and Chris Pappas in New Hampshire.
The organization also announced endorsements for the House of Representatives, including Mariannette Miller-Meeks in Iowa and Shomari Figures in Alabama. These selections follow an earlier endorsement of 32 House candidates in August. The group previously warned of political consequences for lawmakers who failed to support the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act.
The legislative landscape remains uncertain as polls suggest Democrats may regain control of both chambers in 2027. The CLARITY Act, which passed the House in 2025, failed to secure enough votes for a cloture motion in the Senate this September. Future control of Congress could significantly impact the trajectory of such market structure bills.
Crypto industry funding continues to flow into midterm campaigns through political action committees. The Fairshake PAC, supported by Coinbase, Ripple Labs, and Andreessen Horowitz, committed $30 million to support Husted in Ohio. By June, the PAC had already spent $82 million on various candidates across the United States.
