On September 29, US President Donald Trump signed an executive order mandating that all government agencies replace the term artificial intelligence with super intelligence, or SI. Following this directive, Elon Musk confirmed that SpaceXAI will be rebranded as SpaceXSI.
Musk announced the change on the X platform, declaring that SpaceX is now a super intelligence company. This follows a series of structural shifts within his ventures, as SpaceX acquired xAI in February, integrating the Grok chatbot and the X social media platform into its operations.
The rebranding of xAI to SpaceXAI occurred in July, accompanied by updates to the company's logo and social media handles. During a recent public appearance at the White House, Musk demonstrated his compliance with the new terminology by correcting himself mid-sentence when referring to the technology.
