SpaceWeb reports a significant shift in infrastructure usage, with the number of cloud service connections increasing by 84% over the last three quarters. The user base adopting cloud solutions alongside traditional hosting has nearly tripled during this period.
Data indicates that 44% of cloud service activations come from users managing two or more web projects, including IT developers, webmasters, and advertising agencies. This trend reflects a move toward distributed infrastructure where cloud tools complement rather than replace standard hosting.
Virtual Private Servers (VPS) account for 87% of cloud service connections, while object storage S3 makes up 12%. Users typically leverage VPS for application hosting and testing environments, while S3 is utilized for file and data storage.
Founded in 2001, SpaceWeb currently hosts over 220,000 websites for nearly 200,000 clients. The provider offers a portfolio of approximately 40 hosting and cloud services, including Kubernetes, private clouds, and database solutions tailored for small and medium-sized businesses.
