Danish cybersecurity firm Sovera Security has raised €535 thousand, equivalent to DKK 4 million, from the Danish Export and Investment Fund. The startup, established by LogPoint founder Søren Laustrup, focuses on developing sovereign AI-driven security tools that keep data and infrastructure under local control.
The company operates its own data center to host the GPUs required for its AI-native platform. This infrastructure allows the business to combine automated threat detection with human oversight, ensuring that critical security decisions remain in the hands of organizational operators rather than external providers.
Sovera Security serves large enterprises and operators of critical infrastructure that require strict compliance and data governance. The new funding will be used to enhance the company's AI capabilities, expand its internal team, and scale its commercial presence across Denmark, the Nordic region, and the broader European market.
EIFO officials noted that the investment aligns with the strategic goal of fostering domestic technology development. The fund expects the capital to help the startup compete on an international level, citing the company's existing technical foundation and its potential for growth within the European cybersecurity sector.
