South Korea successfully conducted the fifth launch of its Nuri space launch vehicle on October 7. The mission carried a payload that included five components from LG Group and an AI chip developed by the startup Mobilint.

The LG hardware integrated into the payload consists of camera modules from LG Innotek, battery packs from LG Energy Solution, and power modules, attitude control actuators, and satellite communication antennas from LG Electronics. These components form a space imaging system.

The REGULUS AI SoC from Mobilint is utilized for satellite status monitoring and protein crystal growth analysis. This deployment reflects a broader trend of companies adapting commercial components for aerospace applications.

LG Group has announced plans to launch its own self-developed CubeSat by 2028. This move aligns with the company's strategy to expand its presence in the growing commercial space sector.
