Solflare, a non-custodial Solana wallet, reported a security incident on October 27, 2026, involving a staking provider. The breach affected the private keys managed by the provider, which resulted in the suspension of rewards for the Solflare validator.

The company clarified that user funds remain secure and are not impacted by the incident. Because Solana staking architecture keeps tokens in individual user-controlled accounts, the validator never had access to the underlying assets.

To resolve the issue, Solflare is preparing an application update to facilitate the migration of stakes to a new validator. This process is intended to restore reward generation for affected users.

Solflare plans to offer compensation to users who complete the migration to the new validator. The company has not yet disclosed specific figures or the formula for these payments.
