The Solana Foundation has launched Solana DvP, an open-source escrow program designed to facilitate institutional trade settlements. Released under an MIT license, the tool provides a standardized API for delivery-versus-payment, ensuring that asset transfers and payments occur simultaneously within a single atomic transaction.

J.P. Morgan contributed insights regarding institutional settlement practices to help shape the program's design. The system aims to eliminate counterparty risk by replacing multi-day clearinghouse processes with near-instant finality. It supports SPL Token and Token-2022 standards, including features like transfer hooks and pausable tokens.

The foundation plans to integrate additional privacy features to ensure settlement confidentiality. The initiative follows Solana's recent adoption by major financial players, including BlackRock, which uses the network for a tokenized money market fund, and Kraken, which utilizes the blockchain for its xStocks product for overseas customers.
