Snap has introduced new features and services for its $2200 smart glasses, Specs, following a difficult product launch earlier this year. The company aims to expand the device's utility through entertainment integrations, including support for HBO Max and Spotify.
The company launched Specs Intelligence, an AI system designed to connect with the glasses, iPhones, and Macs. It functions as a productivity tool that tracks user goals and routines. Additionally, Snap introduced Specs for Enterprise, partnering with Amazon, Salesforce, and Nvidia to integrate the hardware into corporate workflows.
Snap is targeting IT technicians for its enterprise offering, focusing on mobile device management and security. The company also announced an AR basketball training app developed with the NBA and WNBA, alongside a cellular connectivity package for mobile use.
The cellular package, offered in partnership with Verizon, costs $10 per month for existing Verizon customers and $20 per month for others. The device is scheduled to ship later this fall, with a pop-up event planned in Los Angeles for October.
