Wang Teng, founder of Yixiu Technology, stated that smartphone market demand is suppressed due to less noticeable feature upgrades. He predicts a continued decline in the overall market, noting that flagship device prices are rising across the industry.
The executive highlighted that iPhone Pro models now exceed ¥10 000. Recent market data confirms this trend, with the new iPhone Duo starting at ¥15 999. The iPhone 18 Pro series saw a price increase of ¥1 000, while older models like the iPhone Air and iPhone 17 saw hikes of up to ¥2 300.
Rising costs are driven by multiple factors, including memory shortages and Qualcomm's decision to increase chip prices by a double-digit percentage starting this September. This adjustment is expected to impact various sectors, including smartphones and wearables.
Wang Teng also commented on Apple's recent focus on AI-driven health analysis. He noted that integrating analytical capabilities into health data is a key area for future development, aligning with the strategic interests of his own company.
