Smart Engines has adapted its document recognition and anti-fraud technologies for web environments using WebAssembly (WASM). This allows businesses to perform KYC, payment processing, and document scanning directly in browsers or messenger mini-apps without requiring users to download native applications.
The company has optimized its GreenOCR 2.0 technology, resulting in a 40% speed increase for document processing and a 25% improvement in payment detail extraction. These performance gains in the Smart Code Engine 2.10 are achieved through the use of vector instructions in neural network computations.
The solution operates entirely on-device, ensuring that document images and personal data do not leave the user's device. This approach minimizes data leakage risks, complies with privacy requirements, and reduces dependency on internet connection quality.
The technology supports full-text recognition for over 100 languages, including Chinese and Arabic, and handles documents from more than 210 countries and jurisdictions. The module is lightweight, with a size of 2 MB, and is listed in the Russian Ministry of Digital Development registry.
