Smart China has announced that the new Smart #2 Premium edition will officially launch in early November. The vehicle features a range of 410 km and supports DC fast charging, which allows the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in 20 minutes.
The design of the new model retains the classic two-seat configuration with short front and rear overhangs. It includes LED headlights and taillights, 16-inch wheels, and a cabin equipped with a 12.8-inch 1080P central display. The interior features a bench-style seating arrangement.
Previously, the limited-edition 'Gold' version of the Smart #2 was released on October 12. This version was restricted to 999 units for the Chinese market, with a retail price of ¥112 999.
Existing models of the series measure 2751 or 2764 mm in length, 1669 mm in width, and 1555 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1875 mm. The vehicles are equipped with a 35.8 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery from CATL and reach a top speed of 140 km/h.
The powertrain utilizes an eleven-in-one integrated electric drive system with a power density of up to 5 kW per kg. These models achieve acceleration from 0 to 50 km/h in 3.8 seconds, with a 30% to 80% fast charge time of under 15 minutes.
