Sharp television owners across China report widespread system failures, including freezing, blue screens, and boot errors. Some devices stop responding during the startup process, specifically at the end of promotional clips. These issues persist even after power cycling the hardware.
The company's official online store support team confirmed that the malfunctions stem from a recent internal system update and modernization process. Sharp stated that its technical team is currently working on a fix to restore normal operations for all affected users nationwide.
Sharp advised customers against performing factory resets or attempting to disassemble the televisions. Despite these warnings, some users have shared workarounds, such as using voice commands to access settings or navigating through the input source menu to trigger a system reset.
Users have expressed frustration regarding the situation, citing difficulties in reaching customer support representatives. Reports indicate that support lines are frequently unavailable, leaving many customers without direct assistance during the ongoing service disruption.
