Paris-based semiconductor firm Sequans Communications has finalized its exit from a Bitcoin treasury strategy. On September 24, the company sold its final 314 BTC, bringing its total holdings to zero after a 15-month period of active investment.

The company initiated its Bitcoin strategy in June 2025, shortly after raising $384 million in capital. At its peak, Sequans held approximately 3,234 BTC. The firm began liquidating its position in November 2025 by selling 970 BTC to retire half of its convertible debt.

By May 2026, Sequans had redeemed all remaining convertible obligations, with 658 BTC left on its balance sheet. CEO Dr. Georges Karam stated that the liquidation was a disciplined move to strengthen the company's financial foundation and eliminate dilution risks.

Sequans is now reallocating resources toward its core semiconductor business. The firm plans to focus on revenue from product sales, licensing agreements, and the development of 5G eRedCap and software-defined radio applications for the defense and aerospace sectors.
