Kirill Menshov, Senior Vice President and Head of Technology at Sberbank, identified customer convenience as the primary metric for the success of any technological ecosystem. Speaking at the Digital Solutions forum, he highlighted that Sberbank has successfully integrated its services through unified elements such as single authorization, payment systems, and user profiles.
The executive noted that partner services often operate on a heliocentric orbit, maintaining compatibility with multiple ecosystems simultaneously. Integrating these services into a core infrastructure remains challenging due to the high costs associated with back-end systems like cloud platforms and accounting tools, which are typically optimized for large-scale operations.
Sberbank is currently prioritizing artificial intelligence, focusing on a unified infrastructure to optimize resource allocation. Menshov emphasized that sharing technologies across the ecosystem allows for significant cost savings. The company is transitioning toward an agent-based model, which requires a new technological stack capable of managing large language models and agent performance.
According to Menshov, the modern corporate structure relies on business capabilities supported by technology. The company aims to standardize development through a platform-based approach, particularly for expensive processes like model inference. He added that sharing methodological approaches within the ecosystem and with the broader market is a standard industry practice.
