Sberbank has increased the authorized capital of Integralnye Sistemy, a company holding a stake in the microelectronics manufacturer Element, by 16.5 ₽ billion. According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, the capital reached 44.16 ₽ billion as of September 17, 2026, up from 27.63 ₽ billion.
The bank previously acquired a 41.9% stake in Element in January 2026 and an additional 7.9% in May 2026, with total known expenditures of approximately 32.4 ₽ billion. Market participants suggest the new capital injection is unrelated to these past acquisitions and may serve as a reserve for future consolidation efforts.
Industry experts link the capital increase to the planned formation of the United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC). This entity is expected to integrate Element, NM-Tech, and potentially Angstrem. The funding for UMC is anticipated to be allocated between late 2026 and early 2027.
The broader development plan for the Russian microelectronics sector involves creating a mega-corporation with a total investment of 1 ₽ trillion by 2030. This includes 750 ₽ billion from the state budget and 250 ₽ billion from Sberbank. The official strategy for UMC remains pending as of September 2026.
