Sber2B has launched an AI agent designed to automate procurement processes. According to the company, the tool reduces the time required to prepare a procurement from one month to one day. It also accelerates the search for information by a factor of ten.
The agent analyzes requests, extracts structured data, and drafts technical specifications. It searches for suppliers in open sources and past auction results, sends personalized inquiries, collects proposals, and compares them against requirements. Finally, it prepares draft contracts, NDAs, and specifications for human review.
The system aims to address inefficiencies where procurement managers spend 40% to 60% of their time on clarifications, with each request undergoing two to five iterations. It also assists in onboarding new employees, potentially shortening a training period that typically lasts six months.
In a pilot project, the AI agent evaluated five suppliers, compared proposals, calculated the maximum contract price, and recommended a winner. The company reported that this process resulted in savings of over 36% compared to a previous manual procurement cycle.
