Saudi Arabia has redirected its oil export routes following missile attacks by Houthi forces on the Yanbu region. These strikes caused operational disruptions to the East-West pipeline, which serves as a vital conduit for the kingdom's crude shipments.
Industry reports indicate that a prolonged outage of the pipeline could remove up to 4% of the global oil supply. Due to these logistical adjustments, Saudi Arabia's supply to the international market reached a multi-decade low in August 2026.
The Saudi Ministry of Energy and Saudi Aramco are currently managing the situation. Market participants are advised to monitor official updates from these entities regarding repair progress and the potential timeline for resuming full operations.
